FAQ

  • When is the Oxford Fiber Festival?

The 14th Annual Oxford Fiber Festival is January 17-21, 2024.

The Oxford Fiber Festival is always in January. We typically celebrate the weekend after Martin Luther King Jr. weekend.

  • When is the Market?

Our Festival Market is on Friday and Saturday. This year the market is Friday, January 19th and Saturday, January 20th. We are open from 9-5 on both days.

  • How do I get there?

Our nearest airport is Memphis International (roughly 1 hour 15 min away), though Jackson, MS is smaller it is still an option for many guests (2.5 hours away).

We recommend driving in because there is so much to see while you are here.

  • Where do I park?

There is a huge, free parking lot directly behind the Powerhouse Community Center. Please help yourself.

We do ask that the very limited parking in front of the Powerhouse be reserved for our guests with mobility needs.

  • What kinds of fibers are at the festival?

This changes every year as we have a rotating curation of vendors and makers. Typically you can find hand-spun and indie-dyed yarns, wool and felt for rug making, handmade clothing, bags, and accessories, quilts and quilted items, fabric dyes and dyed fabrics, tools for weaving, knitting, dyeing, spinning, felting, batting, and more.

  • What is the entry fee?

There is no entry fee to come to the festival. Our Friends of the Oxford Fiber Festival have made it possible to open our doors to anyone who wants to attend.

  • Where are the animals?

In previous years, we have loved bringing live animals to our festival. However, January is cold and wet and often unpredictable. For the safety and consideration of our Fibered Friends, we no longer ask them to transport to our festival. You can find their farms as vendors however and many offer farm tours or even overnight accommodations.
